COME SEE WHAT THE ACC BUZZ IS ALL ABOUT!!
YEAH…… WE ARE KIND OF A BIG DEAL!!!

Kristi Shaw

Hi!  My name is Kristi Shaw. I am the Owner/Coach at Advanced Cheer All Starz. I started the program in 2000 with two things in mind. First, to grow the awareness of the sport and second, to have the opportunity to coach my own two daughters.  My ACC journey has allowed me to become such an intricate part of so many athlete’s lives and for this I am forever grateful.

My degree is in Motivational Psychology with an emphasis in health and wellness. My coaching philosophy is as follows:  Task (teaching fundamental sound skill sets) + Interpersonal communication (meeting my athletes from the heart) = Optimum Results (SUCCESS).  ACC athletes that have a desire to learn and grow are my favorite types of students to coach!

On a daily basis you can find me at Cowley College where I am the Vice President of Student Affairs. I have worked at Cowley for 25 years and have had amazing athletes continue their passion in the sport by cheering at Cowley College & or D1, D2 colleges. I am an advocate for helping student athletes find their strengths, purpose and passion. I do believe it takes a village to raise our children & I am very proud to be an intricate part of the village.

On a personal note, I couldn’t have built my success without my late husband of 25 years, Brian Shaw. Brian blessed me with my oldest daughter, Halston Sawyer, who is married to our amazing son- in- law Dr. Sam Sawyer, along with our youngest daughter Hadlea Renee Shaw. They truly have been my support system through the good the bad and the ugly and I love them with all my heart and soul!  I must also share that I love my fur baby Frenchy  “Cubby”  and my gorgeous grand dogs-Thor, Wrigley Thomas and Steele!

Thank you for supporting ACC and we hope to see you soon!
Cheers-
Coach Kristi

DEJAH NORRIS

Hello, my name is Dejah Norris, I am Twenty years old, and I am from Ponca city. I grew up dancing and tumbling at my grandma’s studio. Miss Frans Dance and Tumbling Studio from when I could walk until I graduated high school. As I grew older, I began helping with tumbling classes and privates with my mom.  When I got to eighth grade, I did school cheer for Ponca city public school and cheered all the way through my senior year, where I was captain cheerleader. My sophomore year of high school me and my sister Destinee finally talked our mom into letting us do ACC. The first day coming there it was a whole different atmosphere everyone worked together to make things work and acted like family. I was on senior platinum for three years and while being on that team, we went to the summit twice and won NCA once in 2019. I loved every moment of it and the memories that came with it. As some people may know I tend to be on the quiet side but when it comes to coaching, I know when to get loud and I love seeing people accomplish skills they have been working hard for. I can’t wait to meet all the girls and help coach them and get that fourth NCA title hanging up in the gym!!

Savanna Terrell

Hello! My name is Savanna. I am 18 years old and I am from Ponca City, OK. I grew up dancing and tumbling in my grandma's studio. One of my first memories is being up at the studio with my family. As I got older I started to help with the tumbling and dance classes. In eighth and ninth grade I was on my high school cheer teams. My first year of doing competitive cheerleading with ACC was in 2016. I started as a fill in for Royalz. I came back my senior year in the same way I started but this time as a fill in on Senior Platinum. I was so happy when my mom came up to me and asked if I wanted to do it for the rest of the season. The first time I walked into the gym I was nervous but once I stepped on the mat, I felt like I was part of the family. I graduated this year from epic charter schools. I was with epic my sophomore year through my senior year. I am excited to get the opportunity to coach these talented athletes and hopefully get some more titles under our belts!

Alissa Sheppard

My name is Alissa Sheppard. A native of Wichita, I participated in Cheerleading throughout middle and high school and received a cheer scholarship to Southwestern College. After graduating with a bachelor's in Communication, I coached cheer at SC and worked on my Master’s in Organizational Leadership, and I spent several years coaching cheer at Winfield High. Currently, I am an active cheer mom at ACC.  My daughter Ava and Jayden are both on competitive teams.  I am looking forward to lending my skills and expertise to our ACC family.

Jennie Willard

My name is Jennie Willard and I am the office manager here at ACC. I am also a Special Education teacher at South Haven Elementary where I work with PreK to 8th-grade students. I have two grown children, Alex (26) and Tia (24). Tia started cheering for ACC when she was 6 years old.  I started helping Kristi with the gym a few years later. Tia continue to cheer with ACC all throughout school until she graduated from high school. She then cheered at KState for four years. She graduated from athletic training in 2021. Alex graduated from Pittsburg State University in 2021 and is a manufacturing engineer. I stayed at the gym helping Kristi because, after years of watching Kristi and the other coaches develop skills in the athletes that proceed long past their cheerleading career, I just cannot leave.  I enjoy watching the cheerleaders grow year after year and watching them turn into successful people on and off the mat.

Abbie Pappan--Junior Coach

My name is Abbie Pappan. I started cheering at the age of 5 and fell in love with the sport. I have been cheering for 10 years and have been on ACC for 6 years. Last year, I also joined my school cheer team in addition to competitive cheer. I am currently on Varsity Cheer for Ponca City High School. As a freshman, I was able to receive my cheer letter for my letter mans jacket. I would spend every day at the gym if I was allowed to. I absolutely love flying. This year I am on Senior Platinum and Steel (a junior 4).  My other interests include volunteering at the humane society and hanging out with my friends.

Addie Furnas--Junior Coach

Hi! My name is Addie. I have been cheering for 11 years now. I am on Senior Platinum and Steel (a junior 4). I love flying but dancing is my favorite part of cheer. I love spending time at the gym and making memories with my team. If cheer has taught me anything, it is to always have confidence in yourself and to never give up when things are hard.
